while some activities were absolutely amazing, others\u2026 not so much. I\u2019m sharing my honest opinions here in case you\u2019re trying to choose between things to do \u2014 or if you\u2019re just curious about my experience. Here we go:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Red Light District (10\/10)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s truly a fascinating spectacle in Amsterdam. The women model in the windows and interact with passersby \u2014 whether you&#8217;re a man or a woman, they\u2019ll look at you, make faces, invite you in. It feels like watching holograms behind glass \u2014 stunning, with eccentric outfits and artistic makeup. Some offer unlimited drinks, and sailing through the city at night feels like pure art. It&#8217;s definitely something you must experience \u2014 especially if you&#8217;re visiting during the Light Festival. But honestly, this one wasn\u2019t anything special. It\u2019s just Van Gogh\u2019s artworks, and unless you\u2019re a hardcore fan, it might feel underwhelming. Every room and every light\/sound show keeps you entertained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why not a 10? The last room was underwhelming \u2014 the structure wasn\u2019t as immersive as the previous ones, and since it\u2019s the final stop, I expected it to be the most impressive. Still, the staff\u2019s performance, the lights, the music \u2014 all amazing up until the end. You either read the signs in English or rent audio guides in your language. They\u2019re not expensive, but the audio is very long-winded. There are exhibits of all kinds: from bear skeletons to shrunken heads from ancient tribes. You&#8217;ll also find statues of the world\u2019s heaviest man and a motorcycle made out of silverware. Super weird and fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Again, no guide \u2014 it\u2019s all self-guided. I feel like I missed out on a lot of context, which is why I\u2019m not giving it a 10. There are guides who help you with your dosage, and you can stay in their cozy \u201cliving room\u201d space to go through your trip with comfort and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can hang out there with friends, draw, listen to music \u2014 they\u2019ll give you blankets and pillows. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the view is calming. A wonderful place to journey inward and meet others open to the experience.
