There, he promised to cure cancer with a vaccine he developed himself, made from ant venom. His patients abandoned their cancer treatments, and some died. He was charged with fraud and practicing medicine illegally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At <em>El Pozo de Luz<\/em>, Corsi claimed to cure cancer. Or at least, that\u2019s what he promised his followers. To be \u201chealed,\u201d they had to stop their oncological treatments and follow a lemon and potassium-based diet. They also had to inject themselves with vials of his self-made vaccine, CNS-629, whose main ingredient was formic acid (red ant venom). Some of his patients died during the process. For selling these vaccines, Corsi was sent to prison in February 2012, charged with illegal medical practice and repeated fraud in 18 cases.
